| Details: Guest Speakers: Wayne Phillips, Ph.D – lecturer in Ecology at Mahidol University and Gwyn Mills of Dive Tribe Topic: Pattaya - Marine Park Project. With the expanding population and increase in tourism there is going to be a lot more pressure on the local terrestrial and marine recreational environments. The general public interest being generated about matters environmental is encouraging more people to visit the natural marine areas of Pattaya. Management towards sustainable use of recreational areas is needed urgently to preserve the animals and organisms in Pattaya’s diverse marine environment. These areas also need to provide for the people using them. Sensible practical management has a crucial role in organising and regulating activities in these areas. Date: Tuesday 3rd July 2012 Time: from 6.30 - 8.00 pm Venue: Mercure Pattaya Location map: http://www.mercurepattaya.com/contact-us Cost: THB 650 per person for members & THB 750 for non-members including Cocktail, beer and wine. Invoice: BCCT will add a 10% surcharge to any invoices that BCCT is required to raise after an event. Event attendees should either pay in advance or at the door. No-show policy: There are many events (e.g. luncheons and breakfast briefings) that require BCCT to give guaranteed numbers of attendees to the venue. If those who have booked fail to attend the venue invariably still charges the BCCT. As a result, BCCT's policy in these situations is to invoice no-shows (unless there are exceptional circumstances). |
